Using ConnectedCoach with ChatGPT
ConnectedCoach connects to ChatGPT as a remote MCP server. Once set up, you can manage sessions, update your profile, browse the member directory, and more — all from within ChatGPT.
Setup
1. Add the ConnectedCoach Connector
- In ChatGPT, go to Settings > Connected Apps (or look for the MCP/connector option).
- Add a new connector and enter the URL:
https://mcp.connectedcoach.io/mcp
2. Authenticate
The first time you use a ConnectedCoach tool, ChatGPT will prompt you to log in:
- Enter your ConnectedCoach email address.
- Check your email for a login link.
- Click the link — you'll be automatically redirected back to ChatGPT.
That's it! Your connection is active for 30 days. After that, you'll be prompted to log in again.
What You Can Do
Once connected, ask ChatGPT things like:
- "What sessions are coming up?"
- "Register me as a presenter for the March session — my talk is about building AI agents"
- "What sessions am I signed up for?"
- "Update my bio to mention my new role at Acme Corp"
- "Who else is in the member directory?"
- "Create a MicroTalk on April 10 at 10am Mountain Time"
ChatGPT has the same access to your ConnectedCoach account as Claude Desktop — sessions, registrations, profile, and directory.
Managing Your Connection
You can view and manage connected apps from your Account page on ConnectedCoach:
- Sign in at connectedcoach.io
- Go to Account (from the user menu)
- Under Connected Apps, you'll see ChatGPT listed
- Click Disconnect to revoke access at any time
Troubleshooting
"Authentication failed" during setup
Make sure you're using the same email address associated with your ConnectedCoach account. If you don't have an account, the login link will create one for you.
Tools aren't appearing
Try removing and re-adding the connector in ChatGPT settings. The connector URL should be exactly https://mcp.connectedcoach.io/mcp.
Connection expired
OAuth tokens last 30 days. If your connection expires, ChatGPT will prompt you to log in again automatically.
